THE MOP FAIR

The Marlborough Fair is an age-old tradition. They were originally for the hiring of workers by the areas Employers. The upper photograph was taken from St. Peters Church Tower in the 1960's. The middle photograph is from the 1920's and shows "Jennings Wonderful Whales" carousel, complete with steam engine to provide power and  light.
